cnc carving delrin stamp I’ve been trying to get a good stamp made for leather by engraving Delrin on my k40. The material seems to deform and melt. I’ve tried lots of different speeds, and powers, . Most floor boxes are more for electronics, Television, TV cable, VOP, or internet and the power is usually a nasty second aspect IMO! Be sure to check the Architectural Finish Schedule drawing for what is the type material that will be used on the floor!

CNC machining is a subtractive manufacturing process in which a computer program guides different tools to create a product. The tools include drills, lathes, and mills that cut away at a workpiece to achieve desired specifications.
I have a CNC mill in my shop and a good bit of delrin scraps. Anyone have any suggestions or advice about making stamps from delrin? Ive wanted to try making some for ages. Delrin is a synthetic material that has been used for pocketknife handles for years. I would suggest an arbor press with a hole for the shaft and many do not come that way. Or .
I bought some small pieces of Delrin off of Amazon. They worked great. So, i bought a larger piece of Delrin from Professional Plastics. Or maybe a modified large C clamp. I bought some small pieces of Delrin off of Amazon. They worked great. So, i bought a larger piece of Delrin from Professional Plastics. When I tried to etch it, it didn’t etch deep and melted in the wake of the laser. As Delrin is a brand name, is there a certain type of Delrin I should be using? You will be able to do everything with illustrator and just export an SVG to the CNC software. Vectric VCarve might be a good choice, but easel and carbide create should be able to do it also. Delrin is relatively easy to carve so just about any machine should work.
I’ve been trying to get a good stamp made for leather by engraving Delrin on my k40. The material seems to deform and melt. I’ve tried lots of different speeds, and powers, even air assist, but it still isn’t a crisp engraving. CNC (Computer Numerical Control) machining plays a pivotal role in this transformation, enabling precise and efficient carving of the design onto the chosen material, whether it’s durable brass or cost-effective delrin.

Just watch the speed on the delrin so you don't melt it. Cuemakers routinely use the same mills for both materials. Easiest is just to throw some on the machine and see what happens. You can use Corel and save it to dxf for your cad program.
Our high precision Austrian industrial wide-format laser is able to CNC laser engrave and cut delrin all day everyday so if you had a need for many custom seals or applications requiring delrin, CNCROi.com can produce them on your behalf.
